Nguid Ejagham Development Initiative

Good day to the great people of Ejagham,

We are pleased to announce an important step forward in the development and preservation of our beautiful Ejagham language. Nguid Ejagham Development Initiative is anchored in Eyum Anneh & Co. e.V. objective of intercultural development. The Nguid Ejagham Development Initiative (NEDI) has begun work on a digital platform designed to enhance the learning and everyday use of the Ejagham language, as spoken in Central Ejagham, Eyumojock Sub-division, Manyu Division, Cameroon.

Nguid Ejagham (Ejagham Academy) will serve as a gateway for anyone who wishes to actively learn and speak Ejagham. The platform will feature:

  • A comprehensive Ejagham dictionary
  • Practice exercises
  • An AI-powered translator
  • And many more learning tools and utilities

NEDI acknowledges that there is currently no academically agreed-upon standard for spoken or written Ejagham across all villages in Manyu Division. Therefore, we do not claim that the content provided represents a definitive or final version of the language. Rather, this platform is a collaborative and evolving effort by indigenous Ejagham.
